Young People, Science and Ethics

The FCRI organises, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of the Government of Catalonia, the programme “Young People, Science and Ethics”. The aim of this programme is to stimulate pupils’ critical capacity and encourage them to participate in ethical debates related to the social implications around current science-related issues such as climate change, biomedicine, nanotechnology and robotics.

Pupils in the second-to-last year of obligatory education debate and learn about the ethical aspects of scientific research and draw their own conclusions, with the support of scientists specializing in each subject and ethics experts.

The theme of the first edition, organised in the academic year 2016-2017, was climate change.
