Summer schools for teachers

- what do we do?

Every year in July, the FCRI organises free summer courses for secondary school teachers. These courses are recognised by the Ministry of Education of the Government of Catalonia. The courses are very practical in nature and enable participants to learn firsthand how to carry out a set of experiments.

The courses are designed to help teachers make secondary school STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) more appealing, participatory and experimental.

They are sponsored by “la Caixa” Foundation and are co-organised, together with the FCRI, by the Government of Catalonia’s Ministry of Education, the University of Barcelona, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Girona, the University of Lleida, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Rovira i Virgili University and the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia.
