A recent study led by the Vall d’Hebron and the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) has shown, through a new technique using gold nanoparticles and cell cultures, that activation of the immune system’s natural killer cells can help eliminate HIV reservoirs in infected cells. Víctor Puntes, ICREA research professor at VHIR and ICN2, told us the finding.
