The Catalan Government involves the private sector in the Board of Trustees of the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation to attract private investment to the Catalan R & D system

The Foundation is working to relaunch the impact of science on society and the industrial activity of Catalan firms, which also are among the objectives of the Foundation. It is chaired by Dr. Antonio Esteve, and its membership includes La Caixa, BBVA, Endesa, Esteve, Gas Natural, Telefónica I + D or Ibercaja.
